SVstudents - Wall O' Money Fundraiser

Stop by our Student Center anytime from now through March and check out our Wall O' Money fundraiser for the youth group! 


What is the Wall O' Money? 

You simply take one or more envelopes off the wall of any amount...stuff it with cash or a check...and drop it in the Dropbox. 


All the money will go directly to the youth fund for the teens of Sierra View to attend life-changing events like church camp, youth conference and college daysYou are becoming a sponsor to one or more teens...what an incredible opportunity that is!  I hope you will pray and consider what you can do for this special need.  The youth are the next generation of leaders...I hope you will invest in them!

Capital Connections

Capital Connections

We would like to personally invite everyone to a very special service on Monday, February 25th @ 7pm.. It will be a group of pastors and Christians from our state of Nevada gathering at our campus for a time of worship, a challenge and prayer for our leaders and our country. 

This special event is called Capital Connections and only happens every two years.


A nursery will be provided for this evening for children under 5 yrs.

Also, anyone that is able and would like to is welcome to join us in Carson City on Tuesday as we visit our representatives, present a gift of a Bible and pray for them.. You can see Pastor Eric on Sunday for times and details.

Join us for our March youth activity...hiking on Peavine!  This hike will be Sunday, March 10th following the morning service.  Transportation to the hike area will be provided from the church campus.

Teens, please bring a sack lunch and plenty of water.  Wear comfortable and layered clothing and good walking shoes.

We will be having a Mother Daughter Luncheon on Saturday, May 4th @ 1pm at the church. Bring your mom, daughter, granddaughter or just a friend. More details coming soon.

SVstudents - Youth Conference

Our youth group will be attending Youth Conference at Granite Hills Baptist Church on Friday, April  5th and Saturday, April 6th.  The theme of the conference is "The Great I AM".


The cost for the conference is $20 per teen which includes lunch on Saturday and admission to the EZ Air activity.  All teens must register and pay by Sunday, March 10th.  You can register before or after any Sunday service with Rebekah in the lobby.  Please, CASH only payments for this event.


Unfortunately, there is no transportation provided to and from Granite Hills. 
Parents will be responsible for providing/arranging transportation for their teens.

Drop-off time for Friday, April 5th:  6pm 

Pick-up time for Friday, April 5th:  9pm

Drop-off time for Saturday, April 6th:  10:30am

This will be our Easter Experience! It’s a walk though experience, so you can arrive anytime between 6pm to 7pm.

Our next class will be Saturday, January 19th from 9am-12pm in the Student Center.  

You were designed to be a part of a church family and that's exactly what Sierra View is intended to be - your family.  A healthy family has common beliefs, purpose and commitment. That's why at Sierra View, we want to share with you what we believe and where we're going. 

This one time class examines the history of our church, clarifies our doctrinal beliefs, provides an opportunity to get to know our pastor and his wife  and equips new members discover how they can plug in to church life and ministries.

Light refreshments will be provided.                                  

There is no childcare provided for this class.

Our SVgirls Bible Study will meet on Monday, November 1st. It will be held at the Tastet home from 7-8pm. Our study will be on the topic: "Journey to Freedom - A Bible Study on Identity for Teen Girls".

We want to invite all the young ladies entering into 7th - 12th grade to join us! Our heart for this time is that the girls will feel freedom to open their heart and share with each other enabling growth not only in their Christian walk but in their friendships with each other.

Harvest Party

Join us on Saturday, October 20th @ 3pm for our Harvest Party and Chili Dinner. It will be held at Cold Springs Park. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, your own cold drinks and treats to pass out to the kids (30) during our "Trick or Treat" time. Kids bring a bag or bucket to collect candy!  

There will be games, face painting, contests and more!


The contests are:

  • Costume  - ages birth - 11

  • Pumpkin Carving - ages 13 & up

  • Pumpkin Decorating - 3 age groups - (2-5yrs) (6-8yrs) (10-12yrs)

All pumpkins need to be at the park by 3:30 to be ready for voting. The winners will receive gift cards!

We are also looking for help with running games during the Harvest Party. The church will be providing coffee & hot cocoa!

Friend Day

Invite a friend to church on August 26th for Friend Day. Then, have them join you for a picnic lunch that you create for you and your guest. This will be a great time for them to meet the pastor and get to know the church family. 

The picnic will start about 12:30pm and will be held at the Silver Knolls Park, Silver Knolls Blvd. Reno, NV 89506.  There will also be softball and horseshoes.

Faith Moving Forward

On June 3rd we will be starting our Faith Moving Forward Campaign. We were able to buy our current building last year and all money raised will go toward paying down the mortgage. You can give your donation starting Sunday, June 3rd up until Sunday, July 29th.

There are two ways you can give:

  • Through the offering on Sundays, just make sure your envelope is marked Faith Moving Forward.
  • Download our Tithe.ly app, you'll find the link on the home page, the green give button. Remember to mark it Faith Moving Forward.

Here are a few things you’ll need to know about this night:

  • Please bring a jacket in case it gets cold and something to kneel on.
  • We are asking that you participate in each one of the segments of prayer.
  • We are asking that you bring a “right heart” during prayer.
  • We are asking that you are praying prior to this prayer meeting that God will be there with us. 
  • Please fast from lunch to after prayer meeting dinner - with the mindset of wanting God.

Creative Team Night

We're asking all of our volunteers and those wanting to get involved in our ministries to plan on attending our Creative Team Night on Wednesday, June 20th at 6:30pm.  This night will have worship, team collaboration and fine tuning for future growth of our church. Whether you want to get involved in a small way or bigger way, this night is for you.

During the night, you will have a chance to sit in on two of our ministry sessions.

Memorial Picnic

After our morning worship services, we will be meeting at the Dorothy McAlinden Park. Everyone will pack their own picnic lunch plus extra to share - invite someone in the church to join you! This is a great way to connect to others! Bring everything you will need for your lunch, a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and any outdoor games that you’d like. Join us for a softball game at 2:30 at the park behind Dorothy McAlinden Park, bring your glove and bat! 


Also, enter the Tri-Tip Cook Off & Dessert Competition! Each winner will receive a $50 gift card to Brothers BBQ.  

Grill Masters: Tri-tip entries must be sliced and ready for judging by 2pm. Judging will take place at 2pm. You must provide your own grill, propane/charcoal, grilling utensils and meat for the cookout. Please bring a knife to slice your meat and a platter to present it for the judges.

Dessert Makers: Desserts of any kind are eligible to be submitted for the competition. Desserts must be homemade by the person submitting it. Dessert will be judged on a scale of 1 - 5 in three categories: Presentation + Taste + Creativity. The person receiving the greatest score overall will win first place.

The 1st Place Winner of each competition chosen by our panel of judges will win a trophy for the tri tip and a medal for the dessert and each winner will receive a $50 gift card to Brothers BBQ. Desserts will be served after the winner is announced.

Church Yard Sale

DONATE + BAKE + SHOP

Here are some details you'll need to know:

  1. Yard Sale Times: Fri. May 25th - 10am - 2pm & Sat. May 26th - 7:30am - 3pm
  2. We will start accepting donations on Monday, May 21st, the week of the yard sale. 
  3. We will also be having a BAKE SALE! Bakers are needed to provide goodies for the bake sale. Baked goods may be dropped off at any time that week.  
  4. We will be giving out HOT DOGS as a part of our NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH. There is a list of needed supplies at the church, if you would like to help out. See Jenny Musser to sign up.
  5. To help make this event run, we are in need of the following: Price tag stickers, plastic bags, folding tables and canopies to borrow. 
  6. If you have any questions about the yard sale, please see Becca.

All proceeds will be going towards our church building.

Neighborhood Egg Hunt!

EASTER EGG HUNT

We will be hosting a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt on Sat, March 31st at 1:00pm. It will be held at Dorthy McAlinden Park! We will be opening it up for our community to join us! We will have 5,000 easter eggs, cotton candy and a raffle to win a $50 gift card to Smith's!

This is for ages birth - 6th grade!

Don't forget to bring your own easter basket to fill!

During the Spring Time Change we will also be changing our Sunday AM Worship Times. Our 8:30 service will move to 9:00 and our 10:30 service will move to 10:45.  

This is to help provide more room & parking during our second service. We will also be adding SVkids to the 9:00 service.
